WILLINGBORO, NJ - OCTOBER 5, 2011 - Ed Cooper, CEO and President of Acuity Healthcare, LP announced Cheri Cowperthwait as the Chief Executive Officer of Lourdes Specialty Hospital of Southern New Jersey.
Ms. Cowperthwait is appointed CEO after recently performing as interim CEO for the facility. She has been employed with Lourdes Specialty Hospital as the Director of Provider Relations since 2005. In her role of interim CEO, Ms. Cowperthwait has also been instrumental in developing project plans to initiate the construction of the expansion of Lourdes Specialty Hospital from a thirty-bed LTAC facility to a sixty-nine bed LTAC facility.
Ms. Cowperthwait has been in the healthcare industry for over twenty years, and during this time she has earned an impressive track record for building and sustaining patient referral networks with physicians and hospitals, advancing hospital quality, and improving operating performance.
Acuity Healthcare is a privately-owned Long Term Acute Care hospital company, founded in 2001. It is headquartered in Austin, Texas with its Financial Operations Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
